New choristers are always welcome. Please feel free to come and sit in on a rehearsal before you join.
The choir is not auditioned, but if you are unsure as to what voice part you should be singing, the Musical Director will assist you. This will consist of singing scales, etc, to check your range, and is quite painless. Some knowledge of music is desirable, but dedication is more important.
In general, rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings, from 7.30 to 10.00pm, at Camberwell Baptist Church, on the corner of Riversdale Road and Wills Street (just west of the Camberwell Junction). Additional rehearsals are usually held in the week before a performance.
On commencement of practising, the membership subscription becomes payable.
