Vaughan Williams’ well-known Serenade To Music and his delightful cantata In Windsor Forest will be featured in this concert. Also included in the programme will be an Australian premiere performance of Elgar’s The Spirit of England which was written in 1917 and includes Elgar’s sincere and poignant setting of Binyon’s famous Ode “They Shall Grow Not Old”.
